Structured Elegance

It has been a while since I last posted, I shall not deny that. I have been swamped with academics lately and I couldn't wait to get back to curating posts for, you, all my dear patient readers.

What I set to bring forth today is something novel. If I asked you what a modern, working women, would look for in today's day and age in her wardrobe, I'm sure you would say something along the lines of elegance, agility and the perfect blend of chic and comfort. Luckily, I happened to find all those in this one outfit by Arcoiris

I have repeatedly acknowledged the love I have for structured and well put-together clothing. So naturally, while browsing through the website of Arcoiris, I just couldn't resist this skort dress. The literal definition of Arcoiris, meaning 'rainbow' in Spanish, pretty much intrigued me in knowing more about the brand. The beautiful philosophy behind Arcoiris is to empower oneself to express their identity, which is exactly what I seek to bring out through this post.

The white skort dress is completely body-con that greatly enhances your curves and indeed is quite flattering in all its entirety. I decided on styling the dress along with a choker, barring any heavy accessories so as to give an effortless feel to the whole look. What I sought to create was an imprint of the new-age women with a contemporary elegance. All in all, you can sport the skort dress either at work or at a brunch, and I'm sure eyeballs will linger!

Let me know your thoughts behind the look in the comments below. (Always great to hear you out.)

Until next time!

Synchronization

The past few weeks seem to have literally blown by in a flicker. With the work load rising, I have been caught up in quite a few things. But hey, whats there to complain when you love what you do? There's a lot that is lined up and I'm pretty excited to bring it all to you.

I recently discovered Desi Urban - and instantly took to their casual vibe with an inclination towards Indian patterns. Stacked at pocket friendly prices, the brand aims at an amalgamation of chic and rustic trends. I received this dress in an envelope that read 'Your not so secret weapon'. And rightly so.

In this look, I'v resorted to a minimalist approach. The intricate detailing of the dress is highly appealing as it synchronizes easily, making it effortless to style. Decided on styling the look with cat eyed glasses and a gold choker.

Go find yourself a chic outfit from Desi Urban's collection here.

Hope you enjoyed this look as much as I enjoyed it creating for you.

Until next time, lovelies!

Subtle Hues With Cloth Jewel

Hello Lovelies!

The crisp autumn air and the richly-hued leaves crunching beneath our feet means just one thing, the fall season is here for good. With the smell of winter in the air and the tropical reverie forming around us, how could one stray astray from florals?

If there is one thing I like more than layering up for the fall season, it is how effortlessly one can pull together a look with ornate prints and autumn hues without going over the top. There was a time when florals were largely meant for summer outfits alone, but with the changing trends, the fall fashion has induced florals and it's definitely a welcome change.

About the look: Talking about floral trends and subtle hues, this maxi dress from Cloth Jewel seems to fit right in. Based in Baroda, Cloth Jewel has a rather impressive collection of a customised clothing line that adds an edge of style in creating a chic ensemble. When I came across this maxi dress, I knew at once that it would make it's way to the blog. The subtle background with pops of pink and purple added an element to the dress and made for an effortless outfit.

I decided to keep the accessories at a minimum as I wanted the dress to steal the show. A hot pink choker necklace paired with a purple clutch bag complemented the overall outfit. Usually, when the outfit is on the lines of being subtle, a bold lip colour is preferred. A dark shade of pink with cat eyed sunglasses worked for me to complete the look.

Would love to know how you found the look in the comments below.

Breaking Boundaries

As the title rightly suggests, this post is all about breaking boundaries and after all, fashion is all about setting trends. Summers offer the sheer freedom to get colourful with your wardrobe and how. I love how you can bring in pops of bright colours and it still doesn't look OTT! Therefore before monsoons set in completely, I decided to do a last summer outfit post.

About this look: With the intention of breaking boundaries a little, I decided to style a printed light-weight blazer over a embroidered-lace bodycon dress. One thing that I really like about the blazer is how light-weight it is, making it ideal to wear in any weather, including summer. When it comes to bodycon dresses, I have immense love for them. I just feel bodycon dresses are my go-to for any occasion. Be it a party, night-out or hanging out with friends, the first thing that crosses my mind is a bodycon dress.

Since the blazer is monochrome in colour, the hot pink colour of the bodycon adds a certain edge to the outfit. I wanted the blazer to be highlighted in the look, therefore I kept it minimal on the accessories except for a cuff. I styled the look with cat eyed sunglasses and a hard cover sling that could also be used as a hand clutch. I completed the whole look with an intense coloured fuchsia lip colour that complemented the outfit well.

Until next time, lovelies!
