Subtle Hues With Cloth Jewel

Hello Lovelies!

The crisp autumn air and the richly-hued leaves crunching beneath our feet means just one thing, the fall season is here for good. With the smell of winter in the air and the tropical reverie forming around us, how could one stray astray from florals?

If there is one thing I like more than layering up for the fall season, it is how effortlessly one can pull together a look with ornate prints and autumn hues without going over the top. There was a time when florals were largely meant for summer outfits alone, but with the changing trends, the fall fashion has induced florals and it's definitely a welcome change.

About the look: Talking about floral trends and subtle hues, this maxi dress from Cloth Jewel seems to fit right in. Based in Baroda, Cloth Jewel has a rather impressive collection of a customised clothing line that adds an edge of style in creating a chic ensemble. When I came across this maxi dress, I knew at once that it would make it's way to the blog. The subtle background with pops of pink and purple added an element to the dress and made for an effortless outfit.

I decided to keep the accessories at a minimum as I wanted the dress to steal the show. A hot pink choker necklace paired with a purple clutch bag complemented the overall outfit. Usually, when the outfit is on the lines of being subtle, a bold lip colour is preferred. A dark shade of pink with cat eyed sunglasses worked for me to complete the look.

Floral Obsession

Hello there!
I recently started my masters in management, thus the gaps between my posts. However, I couldn't stay for long without blogging, one of the few things I truly love. There are many exciting posts lined up and I cannot wait to share them with you!

Talking about today's post, floral prints are infallible, you just can't go wrong with them! Although, they aren't sartorially timid, floral's add a certain boldness to the outfit and I wouldn't love them any other way. I was immediately drawn to these floral pants and I knew at once that they would make it to the blog. The soft fabric makes for a comfortable yet chic outfit.

Floral prints go best with neutrals or basics, and so I decided to pair them with a crop top. A higher neckline of the crop top is preferred when you style them with a high waisted pant or skirt. I teamed the outfit with a pair of reflector sunglasses and orange pumps to compliment the look. All in all, the look is suitable for a night event and works just as great for a night out.

Would love to know how you found the outfit in the comments below.

Until next time, Lovelies! :*

Breaking Boundaries

As the title rightly suggests, this post is all about breaking boundaries and after all, fashion is all about setting trends. Summers offer the sheer freedom to get colourful with your wardrobe and how. I love how you can bring in pops of bright colours and it still doesn't look OTT! Therefore before monsoons set in completely, I decided to do a last summer outfit post.

About this look: With the intention of breaking boundaries a little, I decided to style a printed light-weight blazer over a embroidered-lace bodycon dress. One thing that I really like about the blazer is how light-weight it is, making it ideal to wear in any weather, including summer. When it comes to bodycon dresses, I have immense love for them. I just feel bodycon dresses are my go-to for any occasion. Be it a party, night-out or hanging out with friends, the first thing that crosses my mind is a bodycon dress.

Since the blazer is monochrome in colour, the hot pink colour of the bodycon adds a certain edge to the outfit. I wanted the blazer to be highlighted in the look, therefore I kept it minimal on the accessories except for a cuff. I styled the look with cat eyed sunglasses and a hard cover sling that could also be used as a hand clutch. I completed the whole look with an intense coloured fuchsia lip colour that complemented the outfit well.

Until next time, lovelies!

Summer Staple

Hello There! It has been a while since my last post but I have only been working on exciting things for you to read. Since I wanted to base my post on summer outfits, I decided to style a maxi dress, something that has been trending for quite a while now.

Talking about maxi dresses, what better way to beat the heat than these staple pieces that provide comfort, function and style all at once. Maxi dresses have been a staple for a while now and it appears they will be staying here for the long haul. With summer at its full swing and the temperatures soaring way above the bearable heat (it can get really hot in India), Maxi's might just be the most comfortable yet chic piece in your closet.

About this look: The sharp contrasting colours that this maxi provides immediately grabbed my attention and I knew at once that it will make it to the blog as well. Choker neck-pieces go best with lower necklines where you can enhance the whole look by statement pieces. Also, round framed sunglasses are all over the place and they somehow look bold yet edgy and thus I decided to pair them with the whole look. I added a hand cuff to add more element to the look. Styling the whole look with a printed clutch, and I was good to go.

What's your Summer Staple? Let me know in the comments below.

Hope you enjoy this post. Until next time.

Spring Shenanigans

Hello Lovelies. Spring is finally setting in and I couldn't have been happier with the change of season. I have never really been a fan of cold weathers and with summer on its way, it feels like paradise already.

About this Look: From butter-soft leather to lace to sequins or attention grabbing shades, pencil skirts have always been a women's secret weapon. Arguably one of the hardest working pieces, pencil skirts highlight the waist and skims over the hemline making it a total head-turner in the boardroom or bar. Whilst other styles may fall out of fashion, such as a skort, a maxi or a mini, a pencil skirt is always reliable in creating a timeless silhouette.

I decided to pair my ox red pencil skirt with a sleeveless pleated top. The lace chinese collar gives it an edgy look yet giving it a touch of simplicity. I paired the look with high rise pumps with a bit of neon orange to stand out. Also, I decided to wear the handbag with the longer belt to add quirkiness to the look. All in all, an appropriate look for the workplace or for a night out.

Would love to know how you found the look in the comments below.

Until next time.

The Short Affair

Summer can easily be my number one season of the year. The warm sun just gives you the freedom to wear edgy outfits and boost your va va voom on every occasion.

Talking about summer essentials, hot pants and shorts are the appropriate sartorial choice. From retro denims and faux leather to colour-pop prints, nothing says complete summer dressing like hot pants. Being chic, comfortable and versatile all at once makes hot pants a must-have in every wardrobe. Another great feature that hot pants offer is the ease with which you can mix and match bright silhouettes, prints and textures in order to make a style statement.

About this look : With numerous ramifications and endless debates on The Dress, it provided me with inspiration for the theme of this post. I decided to pair dark-washed black denim hot pants with an edgy royal blue top. There is simply nothing that does not go with black and the partial lace-like translucent upper half of the top gives the look a chic touch. Being an avid lover of animal prints, the sling does justice to the whole look. Usually with shorts or hot pants, whole shoes are preferred as they complement the overall couture. Moreover, leather heels add a more strong style statement. It is by far my most comfortable look and therefore is ideal for an evening out or during travelling.

Until next time. :*
