Of Radiance and Contrast

You know that feeling of sudden inspiration that stems when you enjoy doing what you love? I'm pretty much caught up in that mood today. Most days I'm left juggling between college work and blogging, that being the case recently, but I love every bit of it. I woke up feeling rather inspired today and decided on checking off most things on my to-do list.

Coming to today's post, I had the chance to work with Sissies Attire. Based out of Rajasthan, Sissies Attire is an Instagram e-store that deals in women's clothing. The store incorporates pretty edgy ensembles that seem to move around the lines of modern and printed vintages. They have some of the best clothing pieces and their service is really cordial. You should surely check the store if you haven't already. Find their Instagram shop here

I have put together two looks of my favourite pieces of their collection. Have a look!

Look 1

I don't know if I have emphasized this enough but I always had this inclination towards more of subtle hues and shades. However, when I received this radiant red silk shift dress, I gave into it immediately. Not only does the material make you feel like royalty, the slit is the most outstanding feature of the dress and it carries a very fluid vibe to it. The gold choker added the chic edge to the entire look. I kept my accessories at a minimum because I wanted the dress to steal most of the show. I paired the shift dress with black whole shoes because they somewhere complement each other and finished my look with a red lip.

Seeing off the month of love, you surely want this red piece to be your holy grail for the upcoming parties the year has to offer.

Look 2

Ever heard that saying 'Make it simple, but significant'? This time around, I decided on playing with simple tones as against keeping a contrasting background. It's surely a must known fact that a solid little black dress is a staple closet piece and it just gets a lot better with the back of the dress being surprisingly striking. I paired the look with my black and orange heels which did give that slight lift to the dress. Talking about accessories, I just added a stud earring, a red sling with a coral lip to finish the look and I was good to go.

Which was your favourite look out of the two? Let me know in the comments below.

Until next time, Lovelies!

Effortless Musings

Hello everyone!

First off, before starting with today's post I'd like to share my heartfelt gratitude with all of you. I'm the kind that usually doesn't make a lot of noise for my achievements until it really means something to me. I completed my one thousand followers on Instagram recently, and even though it's a small achievement and merely but a stepping stone, I would like to thank each and everyone of you who follow me and appreciate my work.

Coming to the post, I had this amazing opportunity to work with 'Mansa', an upcoming chic clothing label. While browsing through their outfits, I reckoned they maintained a very edgy and chic facet with a touch of ethnic in most of their outfits. From amongst their many pieces, I stumbled upon this royal blue boat neck dress and I knew soon enough that it's going to make its way to the blog.

About the look: Not only do I adore a dressy outfit, I love it when it comes in blue. This boat neck dress does quite well in terms of its appearance and what's more, it fits like a dream. I styled the outfit with a gold and black choker keeping in mind the sequencing. The long, slightly puffy sleeves added a new element of vintage while the pockets added a sporty domain. Even though the cold season is seeing off its days(really happy about that), this outfit is apt for winter and could also back you up for Valentines. As dressy as it gets, this one is surely going to turn heads while you're at it!

For more of Mansa's enthralling pieces, you can find their Instagram here. Go have a look.

As for this post, I would love to know how found the look in the comments down below.

Until next time, amazing people!
